Having had my head kicked-in in Liverpool city centre, just after having drawn out £100 quid from the cashpoint (I know, I know) about 10 years back, I recommend Southport, still. -
Was it a good kicking or just a bit of a slapping around ?Originally posted by Bob Dalek View PostHaving had my head kicked-in in Liverpool city centre, just after having drawn out £100 quid from the cashpoint (I know, I know) about 10 years back, I recommend Southport, still.Comment

It may be a decent evening on the town to you and me, but it's the mortgage paid for a Scouser.Originally posted by chef View Postwhat's wrong with taking £100 out the cash point?Comment

Full booting session. The cherry on the cake was being dropped off near the Mersey tunnel entrance by the cops (by this time it was 01:30, Sunday, couldn't get a cab, as my account had been cleaned-out (I was a student then), bloodied clothes, face swollen, a bit wobbly on my feet) and told, "There yer are, mate. Sorry, can't take yer through der tunnel." - and this after them saying they'd get me home!Originally posted by rootsnall View PostWas it a good kicking or just a bit of a slapping around ?Comment

Fair enough you can stay in Southport if you ever come back to Liverpool.Originally posted by Bob Dalek View PostFull booting session. A mate of mine had a good kicking one time ( in a friendly Northern town ) and was knocked out, he came round and started to have a pee in the road ( no idea what day it was, covered in blood, etc etc ) . The friendly local plod came along and arrested him for peeing in the road !

Yeah I know what you mean. I went to London a few years ago and someone had my phone away, therefore everyone in London must be trashOriginally posted by Bob Dalek View PostIt's a shame about Liverpool: some of the best architecture in Britain; great estuary; near a lot of decent countryside; many world firsts, etc., but populated by trash. Ah well.

I was born and raised, for a while, in Liverpool, my family's origins are there and many of my more distant relatives live there: it's still a toilet.Comment
