My uncle Phil had a bottle of Bells with a cork stopper. He'd had it in the back of the cupboard for years. It had slowly and amazingly become rocket fuel, owing to the evaporation. Nearly blew my head off.Originally posted by d000hg View PostI never tried a cask strength whisky, only the watered down 40% stuff. What distillery?Comment

Yes the idea is you water it down yourself, personally I drink it neat. Almost evaporates on the tongue. At the society they provide with a wee flask of water with your order. If you're in for dinner the chap shall come along to the drawing room and inform you that your table is ready. You and your guests head downstairs with drinks following right behind... it's a hard life. Drink it neat after a large meal, great for shrinking the mass - why don't we have a foodie smiley?Originally posted by d000hg View PostI never tried a cask strength whisky, only the watered down 40% stuff. If you ever have the chance to visit the society go on in and sample a few before you buy - they helped me use my credit card when it came to a purchase after. A few samples the slurring came to surface...
I only came in for lunch that day as well.."Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Mark TwainComment
