Indeed. It's the foulest turd of a town in all creation, and I am comparing it to Salford, too.

Exactly.... he already has a 24.4 Billion deficit in the past 3 months. He needs to cut some of those superfluous public sector jobs, but it won't happen because they are his core voters. He will just add it to the national debt and drive us into an even deeper mess.

On the plus side (if my former colleague is to be believed) there will be a fair bit of totty in Digress etc tonight, looking for a shoulder to cry on, eh? Nudge wink...

Yup, this what happen after the crash in '87. Loads of people were dancing in the streets at the thought of all those City types getting stuffed. Not too long afterwards the whole economy slid down the pan and unemployment shot up.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

I was made redundant from the City in 1987. Best thing that ever happened to me. The payoff set me up. I wonder what these poor sods are getting in the way of golden parachutes.
