She was involved in a media controversy when she sent her eldest son, Harry, to a grant-maintained school the London Oratory School in 1993, then her younger son Joseph to St Olave's Grammar School, Orpington in 1995. Harry was head boy of the Oratory School from 2000-1. Euan Blair was deputy head boy the following year. Labour policy opposed these forms of education,[citation needed] but she retained office with the support of the Labour leader, Tony Blair.Comment
