Given that all insurers' business model is to avoid paying out where-ever and when-ever possible, it is extremely unlikely that you will find an income protection policy that would cover a pre-existing medical condition. And even if you did, it would cost the earth.

Best bet is to save a big pot of dish to cover yourself that way.

I doubt you will find any that will cover you, plus anecdotally it's incredibly hard to get the buggers to pay out even without a pre existing condition.

Put lots of cash aside rather than looking to line an insurers pocket on a policy that will never in all likelihood pay out.
