Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

    C.S. Lewis

Everybody wants to rule the world, Mad World, Pale Shelter - TFF
The Story of the Blues - The Mighty Wah
      Perfect Kiss - New Order
The Lotus Eaters - First Picture of You
Wishing - A Flock of Seagulls (remember that hair style?)

      I loved the 80's.

For me it would have to be:

Pat Benetar - Love is a Battlefield
        Simple Minds - Waterfront
        King - Love and Pride
Level 42 - Leaving me Now
        Michael Jackson - Beat It
I don't want to achieve immortality through my work... I want to achieve it through not dying...

ah yes the Mighty Wah, Shambeko say Wah etc - changed their name nearly as much as spizzles, athletico spizz 80 etc. Pete Wylie was about as good a singer as Kirk Brandon though (i.e. not very)

Has anyone mentioned Echo and the Bunnymen yet?
