Alright, there are enough old fogies on here to be able to advise with some degree of authority... at what age should men start going to the docs for the old MOT?

Best advice I can give is to stay away from the medics at all costs.
Unless you are practically at deaths door, give the whitecoats a wide berth.
Once they find some minor condition they will make your life hell with endless tests and outpatient visits, 6 months waits to see this or that specialist, prod you around with painful and unnecessary procedures.
Bastards then lot of them.
You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.

Top Tip. Take out a large life assurance/critical illness policy BEFORE you go for a full physical.
That way, if they do pickup on something very nasty, you are covered for the future. Then if you get the all clear you can cancel the policies. Once you are diagnosed, you won't get cover in the future.
