William Webb Ellis - kick the ball you poof! The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”Comment

The difference between Man U and all the other prem clubs is that they have to finance any deals themselves. If they spend £28,000,000 on a useless argy player then that is £28 million out of the club. If Chelsea waste £28 million it doesn't matter as there is a pretty much endless supply of money behind the club.Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.
I preferred version 1!Comment

I stand corrected; Ferdinand cost £29m. I was thinking of Zidane.
Chelsea are paying the price of success. When the team win it's all thanks to Abramovich. Abramovich is Chelsea. When he gets bored the club is fooked. Yawn! Chelsea has 100 years of history. Abramovich has only been a part of that story for the last two.
This is not a Walker style Blackburn story. The club is serious about investing in the future. That's why money isn't being thrown at Zidane and Ronaldo, but instead spent on improving the infrastructure. A new training ground and academy has been built to nurture future stars. Deals have been made for other clubs around the world to act as feeders. Stadium expansion (or new one) is on the cards. So if Abramovich does feck off in five years time, it won't make a difference.
As for Chelsea's 'new fans', I started supporting Chelsea when they were at the wrong end of the old second division. The idea of ever winning something never entered my head until a couple of years ago. How hard is it to be a Celtic fan? Each year you automatically have a 50% chance of winning every domestic trophy.Autom...Sprow...Canna...Tik banna...Sandwol...But no sera smeeComment

Numerous tele surveys in the Manchester Evening news agree with my statement (which isn't available in surrey as far as I know).
