"Cheers Wageslave"I'm fed up with the bad press "The Blues" get. Do you remember the "Where are the British players?" well I think some teams would be hard pressed to find the likes of Terry,Johnson,Bridge,Lampard,Duff, Wright-Phillips, Joe Cole,Carlton Cole...come on Arsenal where's your home grown first team?

Good point, Steve. In fact, Chelsea have a strong history of producing British players. Parker could have been added to that list until recently, and don't forget Lenny Pidgeley.Autom...Sprow...Canna...Tik banna...Sandwol...But no sera smeeComment

I don't think that Liverpool have a hope this season..I will really love it (Sound like Mr Keegan) when we put them out (revenge, for the goal that never was)Comment

Chelsea have done better in every one of their three goes at it than Arsenal have ever done in their ... how many?Comment

Originally posted by WageSlaveTrue, to a point. Seedings are based on the past five years, and thanks to fecking useless Ranieri getting knocked out of the UEFA cup by the likes of St Gallen means we are still paying the price.
But buy the cup? Funny, Chelsea spend money and it's a terrible thing. Yet it's acceptable for Man Utd to spend £40m on Ferdinand, buy Rooney, Van Nistlerooy, Alan Smith, Saha, etc., etc., but that's not buying success. And no one complains about Real Madrid trying to buy cups with the likes of Zidane, Figo, Owen, Beckham, Ronaldo.....
It's a double standard. Chelsea are the new whipping boys and it's fashionable to have a pop at them.
I think the point is united did it with home grown talent from the youth system. The only youth player in the chelsea set up is Terry.
I don't really have anything against Chelski and their new fans but before getting too cocky remember it's arbitrary who would be the succesfull team, Abromovich tried to buy Spurs and at least one other before he settled on Cheski and he's only funding it with a loan. If he fecks off the club is absolutely fooked!
I think the cheslsea experiment won't last too long, the reserve team spirit is starting to wane and the world cup is comming! The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”Comment

sorry to interrupt, but who cares about this minor sport while tomorrow a major event is taking place, i.e. the taming of the Sprinboks by the Mighty ABs at a proper man's sport: rugby union.
Watch it and forget about your soccer!
