    Was yesterday the most mental transfer deadline day in Premier League history?

    I mean FFS.

    Man City got transferred to some major league Abu Dabi sheiks, out muscled Chelsea to get a major prospect off real Madrid, nearly nicked Berbatov off Man U.

    Everton paid 15 million for an unknown and Arsenal, as usual didn't buy anyone (Ve have compleet faith in our primary school team coming through).

    It was bonkers.

          I remember Liverpool trying to sign a keeper on transfer deadline, got it wrong and ended up paying for 2 - Dudek and Kirkland.

              True - but have you also seen the quote where they reckon a decent player costs £30 million these days, and they reckon they need 18 in that catagory for a good squad to compete. And they're willing to pay that much.

              It's Championship Manager except for real - now the shock has worn off, I'm really starting to wonder, and worry about what is happening to our game.
