    I've decided on the GPS model I want

    Trouble is "each unit [shipped?] must have written approval from Joint Program Office, USAF", and worse still it doesn't appear to have a USB or bluetooth interface.

    Anyone know any US squaddies who might be bribed to sell one on the quiet?

        I have an early Garman 12 - still going strong - still with a warning saying to be careful not to take to some Middle East countries, as they would think you were plotting bomb sites!

        SA says;
        Well you looked so stylish I thought you batted for the other camp - thats like the ultimate compliment!

        I couldn't imagine you ever having a hair out of place!

          I use a lot of GPS devices (currently 5) but I have aways gone with the cheap "mouse" type GPS (£60) that connects to my laptop, Baron, TomTom, Boltec, APRS Radio.
