If you're into strategy games then I'd highly recommend Civ4, but be prepared to lose hours of your life to "just one more turn".

Yeah, Civilisation Revolution is the console incarnation of the franchise, and quite a recent release I think. I've only ever played it on the PC though so not sure how well it translates to a console, although the reviews seem good.

Played CoD 4 on the PC and didnt actually like it much. Single player campaign was ok but multiplayer seemed a bit haphazard and chaotic.

Team Fortress 2 is still my multiplyer FPS of choice, followed by Enemy Territory: Quake Wars.

And you still can't beat mouse and keyboard as a control system for an FPS.
