London 2012 organisers taken aback by enormity of Olympics in Beijing
Why would anyone want to live in Stratford anyway?
The atheletes can stay in the decent Ibis I stayed at in Stratford.
It is an easy journey into the City from there.
I can see that if the standard of the area improved it could become quite a desirable location to live. But the standard of the area would have to improve significantly.
Nah, China have a stadium, that's why we're soiling our gussets, coz there's no way ours will be anywhere near ready.
Why build a stadium? Surely the 100 metre event could be done on Oxford street? Just open the traffic between races. This works for the Marathon. We need other good ideas like this to do the Olympics on the cheap.
