          At the moment there seems to be a high demand for front-end web developers at higher rates than I've come across before. I'm talking about the Web 2.0 Ajax stuff. It also has the advantage that a lot of that kind of work is actually interesting and at least mildly innovative, rather than the same tedious stuff over and over again. I imagine the rates will tail off as everyone and his dog starts to do it, but the demand should be there for a few more years at least.
