A gun can have as many bullets in the clip (mag) plus one more actually loaded into champter (pipe). I'd say its extermely unusual to have more bullets than in the mag, because to do so you will need to load one bullet into chumber, then take out the mag and manually insert another bullet into it. Highly unusual config for a police officer, not to say that it was the case in this case. -

BTW, you dont need to remove the mag to put one up the pipe. Load the mag and clip it in, pull back so the ejection port is exposed and slot a full round in. release.
Its a good thing as you are ready to fire without cocking. Its a bad thing as you could shoot yourself in a fall or other accident.I am not qualified to give the above advice!

I am not saying its bad thing to keep a bullet in the pipe -- but its highly unusual to have full mag + 1 in the pipe.Originally posted by The Lone GunmanIts a good thing as you are ready to fire without cocking. Its a bad thing as you could shoot yourself in a fall or other accident.
He certainly had one in the pipe before operation because cocking takes some time, plus you need to use both hands.Comment

QUESTION: What makes you think only one person fired? This could (unlikely) be 11 single shots from 11 individuals. Where have you read that one man emptied his pistol into this guy?
The gunman never empties his load all at once, just in case another target presents itself.I am not qualified to give the above advice!
