Priority
I am afraid it is your fault EO - surprised no one yet picked this up. He was on your right hand side - you admitted hitting him with your right bumper - so he has priority.
You must always give way to traffic on your right - old rule based on the fact that for RHDs, you can see a car on your right, whereas the other driver can't. Same aplies on the mini-roundabouts - priority to the car on your right, not a free-for-all or 1st come as a lot of drivers seem to think these days.Comment

We have all been waiting for your special form of genius to highlight the errors of our ways. Thank the pope you have utilised your undoubted highly tuned legal mind to set everyone straight. Oh the relief!Originally posted by Dow Jones View PostI am afraid it is your fault EO - surprised no one yet picked this up.Comment

We were wheel arch to wheel arch. my bumper got scratched as he went on and I braked. What makes you think they were RHD ?
I always stop and give way to traffic on the right at mini roundabouts, what has that got to do with anything ?

EO - same rule applies with roundabouts. See what happens, could be a 50/50 split, if your insurance backs you up.
OS - my alter ego - so predictable to disagree with me!Comment

The yield to the right rule does not apply to people changing lanes (i.e. you don't have to yield to someone cutting in from your right), my understanding is that in all instances it is for oncoming traffic only(YMMV).Originally posted by Dow Jones View PostEO - same rule applies with roundabouts. Trust me, I've become an expert on car insurance, even though I've got a 10y NCB. Wives or GFs always have had crashes, once they even got hit from the back and other party try to make it 50/50, depends on how good is your insurer.Originally posted by EternalOptimist View Poster, we seem to have gone from -its my fault to a 50/50 split.
