    Done deal, little fuss

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7511281.stm

The UK has officially ratified the European Union's Lisbon Treaty.

The documents were deposited with the Italian foreign affairs ministry in Rome on Wednesday.

Now that's how you run a democracy! Fast efficient government at its best.

No it won't, we're still going to hang the bastards.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

gotta love Bill Cash: "accused ministers of 'effectively bullying the Irish' "

I remember that right wing nationalist nut job visiting our school to do a talk (on the evils of the europe funnily enough) once many, many moons ago. Im sure if we had got him on the issue of Ulster, he would of advocated a lot more than "bullying" the buggers.
