um, islam predates xtianity by a few thousand years i think. but your point is taken. for what it's worth, i don't think all religions are equal - some are more insidious, backwards-looking and claptrap-ridden than others, and no-one would (for instance) put scientology on the same standing as, say, the quakers. but muslims are getting a very hard time at the moment, most of it is xenophobic hysteria and it seems deeply unfair.

No Islam was created by Mohammed (sp?) a long time after the old and new testaments, but uses the same old crap but in a more "to the point, lets not be mamby pamby here" sort of way.

Just to be a pedant, Islam recognises Jesus as a prophet and believes we are all sons of Abraham. So they would argue that they've always been Muslims, but it just took Mohammed to publicise it.
