Melbourne is about as rainy as London. The winter I was in Sydney, it rained twice, once for 2 months, and once for 3.

In Cairns its a tropical climate, so in the winter it's cold (comparatively) and in the summer it rains all the time.

Perth, I guess, is nicer.

In the summer, no. But they have a whole mountain range called the "snowy mountains" so it's there if you want it....
