You just couldn't make it up. 100% true.
Guy walks into a police station in London, goes straight to the front of the queue, burnt hands and face, starts yelling at the person behind the counter:
- I'm the person you are looking for the murders of the 2 French students.
- I'm sorry sir, would you mind waiting your turn?
- F'off, OK then.
Sits down, agitated, looking menacingly at the others and complaining:
- I've got 3rd degree burns, I've come to report a murder and nobody wants to know, WTF?
At which point, someone from the queue, decides to act.
Unbelievable, but true.
I believe it happened on the same day as the De Menezes 2scene in Bournemouth. 42 day detention? They'd need 42 months to get it sorted. Police are complete and utter waste of space/money these days.

Given the total incompetence of the police, how come the prisons are all full? I suppose it’s mainly those that should be in mental hospital or alcohol/drug rehab. A career criminal has to be really unlucky or stupid to get caught.
