Cousin of mine (thankfully, not by blood since my earlier Adoption Shock this year) once asked me "So, what planet is the Sun then ?"

I replied, "The same one you're living on, sunshine".
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

    C.S. Lewis

He's probably blowing a wet fart.

            Religionists! Tut!

The argument has already been settled: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_God_Delusion

Although I think Dawkins is a bit of an egotistical arse, he's a very clever man, and his book pretty much removed any doubts I had.

You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.

Hawking is far more clever, and he is sitting on the fence. So I think I'll side with Hawking on that one.

Well, I do try to entertain, sir.

Why do you suppose Hawking is more in touch with the ultimate truth than Dawkins is?

Also, I'd love to see Hawking sitting on a fence. That would be outstanding!
