I typically use an Intuos graphics tablet with pen and mouse. I'm looking to buy a Cintiq combined tablet/monitor. Both of these offer 1024 pressure levels, angle/tilt detection down to about 10 degrees, and a choice of different pens, for photo retouching, illustration and the like. Far, far quicker than using a mouse when you get used to it.Comment

Yep, descended into Geekdom.
FWIW my cats can catch field mice but I've never tasted them because they always eat them first.....

I'd like apple to make one of these with their shiny "multi-touch gestures" for a desktop. That would be cool.Originally posted by DS23 View Posti use the laptop finger pad thing."See, you think I give a tulip. Wrong. In fact, while you talk, I'm thinking; How can I give less of a tulip? Well, it helps with shading - basically, the angle determines degree and direction of spread, and the shape of the brush in Photoshop - the opacity of the 'paint' diminishes away from the nib. Essential bit of kit for an arty type IMO! Not geeky at all!
