    No! No! No!

Simply leave a note on his car windscreen, remonstrating him for his actions.

Oh!--and then take car windscreen to his desk so that he can read it

Yep, scratching his car is a good one too!
Objective - get him mad and then get others to complain about his disruptive attitude in the office - he must be rubbing people up the wrong way etc.

Anyway, if he reads this thread, he'll know who did it!

        It's YOU

He is trying to concentrate this morning, because the project he is working on is not going well, and he is under pressure. I have had a conversation across the office on 2 occasions and other than that I have been listening to some CDs I downloaded last night.

Read again what you wrote mate and please tell me that you still think you are right.
        a. You are lacking serious manners - conducting a conversation across the floor like in Coronation St is one of my pet hates - when you can get off your bottom and go to speak to the person you need to outside or near him.
        b. You are not professional - listening to ipods or CDs at work. I've got guys here with earphones stuck on their ears for the whole day pretending they are teleconferencing!
I would go back and read what SG said to you - good sound advice is what you need plus anger management.
If you worked in an IB you'd be subjected to worse - if you ever phoned to complain to a snr mgr you would hear ten times worse from him.
        What a pathetic post!

He basically told me to go forth and multiply....

I have emailed ClientCo manager and agency (who he is also with) to raise a grievance; but really don't want to work somewhere where that is tolerated.

            Anyone any thoughts?
Upon reading this, I've realised you've burned your bridges.
Look for another job pronto and remember what you've learned.
Chances are, you've put in motion a chain of events you can't stop.
Playing tricks is one thing - taking it further and complaining to bosses means you lose.

Think I shall re-align myself come Monday,
Don't go rushing in on Monday in a suit, everyone will think that you're off for a job interview! Get back into it slowly, smart casual for a week or two first.

Sounds like the other guy is a slacker and, given a bit of work to do, is cracking under the pressure.

Wow, a proper IB hardcase - OP better listen up good n' proper

WTF gives you the right to start bandying about the P word? Maybe when it suits you to impose your point of view on others?

Not sure about that. Anyway, the OP probably won't post again today.
Chances are, he is being laughed at all round the office as they read this thread. Would you want to work with someone who stabs you behind your back?

Ok, to avoid this turning into a bitch slapping contest:

I never said I was perfect, or without fault. By "talked across the office" I mean talked to a person who was less than 10 ft away from me - in one case, next to me.

Just had a talk with a middle manager at ClientCo, who echos my sentiments, but cautions that some Snr Mgr's believe that this chap has had a high worth in the past.

That said, I explained that all I want is an apology for being spoken to like that. Middle Mgr says he will have a word with Snr Mgr on the QT and see what is thought....

... but on reflection, I am past caring. Going to sit here and take the money.
