You avoided the cameras? I am impressed.

Alternatively, join the army. They are so desperate you'll pass the check with flying colours.

Then, in three years time - assuming you've still got all your arms and legs and are not dead after two tours in Afghanistan - you can crack on with your contracting career with SC safely in the bag...

Same here. Still using the 80s rule of sticking to 90 on the motorway and 10 over elsewhere and it seems to be working. Fair bit of luck involved me thinks. I've had dozens of flashes from cameras but still no points

Can MyCo put me through SC or does it have to be sponsored by gov agancies etc?

if MyCo can, anyone have a link that may be helpful?

            Cheers,

No, I answered this somewhere else. Only certain big whitelisted companies can sponsor you through SC.

              EDIT: here's a CUK link http://www.contractoruk.com/002675.html

The clue is I've been stopped but never prosecuted.

With regards to the Camera thing. They're big, yellow and in areas that have Speed Camera signs or other warnings... WTFPB?

Anyway, you're probably correct and one day my luck will run out.

But, every time I've been stopped I've been respectful and not argued the toss. I've always got out of the car and met the copper half way.

(Perhaps it's something to do with the fact I roll my trouser leg up...)

+----- That is a joke and I would never try and use my Masonic membership to try and influence a situation like that.

You're right, no question about it, and I bet the reason is they haven't met their quota of ethnic recruits for whatever it is you were applying for (unless of course you're ethnic).

A while ago someone here mentioned how a friend applying for a job as a wheel tapper or something, on London Underground, was asked about Ohm's Law and turned down because he couldn't recall it.

FFS, if he had, they'd probably have asked him to quote Maxwell's Equations next, just to be doubly sure he was qualified to punch tickets

Then they would say that he was over-qualified and reject him.

Once they have their mind made up there is nothing to be done.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.
