X = the population of New York
Y = number of piano tuners in New York
What percentage of the population of New York are blind?
What percentage of them are of working age?
There's enough information to come up with an estimate for the number of Blind Piano Tuners in New-York.Comment

Piano tuners are *far* more likely than the average person to be blind.
What is the population of NY?
What percentage of them own pianos?
How many other pianos are there in NY schools, clubs, and restaurants etc?
How often does the average piano need tuning?
How many pianos can a tuner do a year?
What percentage of piano tuners are blind?Comment

Not exactly an interview question but I worked in network ops a few years ago at a big bank, and every morning they'd have a health check conference call and each discipline would give an update of major ongoing problems.
Dumb bird to me:
"Networks, any problems this morning"
Me
"None I'm aware of"
Dumb bird on global call:
"Any problems you're not aware of"?
Me
" "?!?!?!
She didn't get it when people started laughing on the call either.Last edited by snaw; 5 June 2008, 13:52.Hang on - there is actually a place called Cheddar?? - cailin maith
