if anyone asks, the conf call went dead and then you couldn't ring back in

just play white noise over ur mic then go make a brew.

My pet hate is people on calls while driving who dont go on mute.

You've sussed me ! A certain large multinational I worked for were big into conference calls often involving 3 or 4 different countries and varying levels of english. A complete nightmare of laughable proportions and I think only the foreign end stayed dialled in and in a state of utter confusion.
