What about those of us who actually are Gods. I believe in the JabberLord - I think therefore I am.

Chico why does it matter to you what we believe in and our opinion of the Bible and related subjects?

I have got my own beliefs and I live by them and I don't really care what other people believe in. I have no problems with people not believing in what I believe in.

Why is it important what we think of the Bible? Why the urge to convert, to preach, all the time? That's what I don't get, and that's true of all expansionist religions, Islam being one too.

I mean you don't see Buddhists trying to convert people to their stuff, do you? They just pray and do their stuff by themselves, and if you want to join them do, but they'll never try and convince you against your initial free will.
      Chico, what time is it?

This is why he focuses his arguments (if you can call them that) on deriding atheists. he seems to think that by trashing atheism he is invigorating his own argument (fantasies in truth) that there is a god, by default.

Agnosticism shifts the onus of proof squarely back on his shoulders. Because he cannot give any physical evidence to prove that there is a god he cannot take the offensive, so he spends his energies avoiding answering questions.
I disagree, I dont feel like I have anything to prove. This is not a belief thing for me.
Do I have to prove the tooth fairy doesnt exist? What about Superman? Should I have to prove the Moon isnt made of green cheese?
For me the existance of any God is just as likely as a positive outcome in the above three unlikelihoods. If there is a burden of proof anywhere it is on Chico and his ilk.
Read the link I posted (its too big to cut and paste) and you may understand what I mean.

Once more Chico, I do not deny you your belief, I am happy that you have found your way, but it is not arrogant nor illogical to be atheist (quite the opposite in fact). I do not deride your belief though I may question it.
What gives you the right to deride atheism?
I am not qualified to give the above advice!

Since you ask Rebecca I will respond. Frankly I do not care what you personally believe or what anyone else believes for that matter however I do respond honestly when I am asked about my faith. I will also challenge prevailing myths and falsehoods about the Bible, Jesus Christ etc whenever I come across it be it on this board or anywhere else. To me a lot of the problems we face in life are because we have turned away from God and turned to just about anything else. I am not ashamed about my faith and never will be. Maybe that makes others uncomfortable well I frankly don't give a damn.

Does that mean that if we don't ask you, you'll shut the feck up?

Chico you are contradicting yourself here. You say you don't care what I and others believe, but also you say that you will challenge what you call myths and falsehoods.

I think you do care a lot about what others believe, since you add that a lot of problems in today's society arise from us turning away from your God.

I am not challenging your faith, my point is simply that your faith is asking you to convert others. I think that is true of a lot of Christians. In that respect, you are not different from Islamists. You would like every one converted to christianism. Yours is an expansionist religion that will not be completely satisfied until every one believes in it. Again I am not passing judgement (yet), just trying to understand the facts.

That's exactly what radical Muslims think about the West. But why don't they (and you) stop to think why the West is so powerful compared to them. It's is precisely because the West is more rational and less religious that we have created probably the greatest civilisation in the world. While not all are happy in that civilisation their problems pale compared to the Muslim or Christian zealot.

BTW you don't strike me as being particularly happy, Chico. Your postings often show a barely suppressed rage.
