We are all small businesses so we should be able to look out for ourselves. It is the agents job to con us and our job not to fall for it.

      Only if you're crap!

Things may be bad in this country, why not try abroad?

I always say the downturns just affect the crap coders while I have a gig. When I lose my job I change my tune.

          Are you a permie?

During the past two recessions I contracted abroad.

I did say gig in the first part.

I had a job through last 2 recessions without needing to go abroad.

Not if we had an enormous database holding all details of every job ever advertised ever. Come on Government, these ideas don't grow on trees you know.

I think there are less duplicate ads for the same role now. Last 2 agents I talked to seemed to have the roles exclusively.

Also I have seen a reduction in the number of ads that just look like made up positions to harvest CVs.
