According to him hoardes of fans were p1ssed up at 9:00 in the morning p1ssing in the street and being aggresive, what kind of fans are these?
Not quite on the same par as the fans who trashed Portugese restaurants in London though!!!

          1. They should have made it clear to them if that were the case, as is with the Champions League Final in Moscow.
          2. Manchester profited to the tune of £ 25 m by the Scottish fans (food, drinks, transport), so the least they could do was to provide them with some decent screens.
          3. We are talking about TV screens here, not complicated 3-tier architecture. Is this what you say to your clients ('a technical failure is ALWAYS possible')?

Truth is the incompetent Labour-run Manchester council who couldn't run a bath, currently investigating how the screens 'broke down'. That'll take them about 6 months.
Same thing would have happened with any set of frustrated fans be it Liverpool, Celtic or Arsenal ones.
what sort of muppet are you?
There is no way in this world that you could stop a bunch of fans travelling within their own country (GB). If you think it is even close to being similar to travelling to Moscow you are even denser than you appear.
There is no obligation to provide big screens, it was a courtesy (ironically, probably to prevent trouble as pubs could not cope). The screens were a late decision and were not advertised as available so travelling fans had no expectation they would be there.
Hardware fails, comms fail. Are you realy in a technical business? Do you know anything about hardware?
Manchester have succesfully used those screens before.

This kind of behaviour is outrageous whoever it is by. They may be upset, agrieved even, but their is no excuse for violence, particularly against a city that has gone out of its way to make them welcome as witnessed by local TV build up for the game over the last week.
I am not qualified to give the above advice!

            Irate poster

Judging by your reaction to my post, seems like you could do the same under those circumstances.
I have merely pointed out the shortcomings (logistical and technical) of encouraging all those fans to gather in the city centre without having proper facilities to cope with.
If you don't want them to gather in the city centre, close all roads leading to it for the day and direct them elsewhere. Trying to pen them like animals can only cause more trouble which the council 'muppets' (clearly a northern expression) failed to consider.
Even little things can cause aggrevation, like us going to a football match and carrying a plastic bottle (not glass one ffs) you are being asked to take the lid off, how pathetic that is.

                As a wee aside.

Anyone notice the difference in quality of female fan whenever the cameras panned to the crowd last night?

Every ZSP female fan looking stunning. Every Scottish Rangers burd either looked like she needed two seats or had that heoine chic look beloved by skinny models, without the chic part!

They did seem to zoom in on 2 or 3 ZSP ladies in very tight fitting tops, especially when the fans all started "pogoing".
