I have a friend who works in the centre, he was on a fag break when some Rangers fan approached and started bumping into him over and over, so he eventually had to floor this bloke. Other colleagues had to get security escorts to their cars. According to him hoardes of fans were p1ssed up at 9:00 in the morning p1ssing in the street and being aggresive, what kind of fans are these?
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”
Those without tickets had no need to travel.
The city of Manchester had no obligation to provide those screens.
A technical failure is always possible.
Re: above points, you are wrong on all 3
1. They should have made it clear to them if that were the case, as is with the Champions League Final in Moscow.
2. Manchester profited to the tune of £ 25 m by the Scottish fans (food, drinks, transport), so the least they could do was to provide them with some decent screens.
3. We are talking about TV screens here, not complicated 3-tier architecture. Is this what you say to your clients ('a technical failure is ALWAYS possible')?
Truth is the incompetent Labour-run Manchester council who couldn't run a bath, currently investigating how the screens 'broke down'. That'll take them about 6 months.
Same thing would have happened with any set of frustrated fans be it Liverpool, Celtic or Arsenal ones.
Yep, been there. It was a longer trip home from Seville.
One of the reasons I did not go down was because I knew that would happen last night. Bevvy/Sun/Quite a number of Neds = recipe for disaster
that and I'm a daily rate whore
