Charging quandary

I don't know what it is with you people. If it worries you then don't charge that day, charge another. Being stuck with your co-workers is work after all. Would you go socialising with them normally?

Lawyers charge the same day because they are professionals.

Do not charge. I have prior experience of this. I once charged a full day for a client Christmas Do I was invited to. It started at 12pm and carried on into the wee hours. I thought nothing of it until the big boss made a "joke" about me charging for that day when his authorising my billing a few days later. Contract came to a premature end a few weeks later. It was not the decisive factor but I am sure it played a part (albeit a small one).
