The Tories just need to not do anything stupid between now and the general election, and they'll win for sure. They must be secretly hoping Ken takes London as that'll do more harm to Labour and they won't have to worry about Boris messing things up.
It won't happen. Look at the stats on the beeb

Labour get 24% of the vote which gives them 1596 Councillors while the LibDems get 25% of the vote and get 1101 Councillors
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

    I preferred version 1!

      Agreed.

People seem to get scatty during a real election.

        From CIF on the gruaniad:

Gordon Brown is not a leader. I truly believe that he is one of life's second-in-commands, who's got the top job and been found wanting. In all honesty, I think he knows it but is psychologically incapable of doing anything about it. And that's where the biggest danger for him lies, because I also believe that Labour MPs know he is incapable of turning it around.

          New just in...

David Pitt-Watson resigns as Labour's General Secretary before he even gets his bum on the chair

You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.

The Tories have done really well in the North West. My newly created county council is a Tory Landslide

The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

My local council has gone from Tory landslide to a marginally larger Tory landslide.

              Glad I didn't bother voting.

My county council was tory led before, but the government tried to gerrymander by merging several councils including mine into two, and it has spectacularly backfired!

Don't forget the BNP got Richard Barnbrook elected to the GLA in London due to the fact he got over 5% of the vote.

The left don't like it one bit.

More than 400 protesters gathered at City Hall to register their disgust at the election of a British National Party member to the London Assembly.

Richard Barnbrook became the far-Right party's highest profile politician when 130,000 people voted for him last week
