You've all not worked it out yet have you ?

    1. Dumb down the education system so no one can understand simple logical written instructions any more (but give everyone A*s in their exams anyway to make them feel intelligent).

    2. Having done so deliberately overload the voting system with multiple options and ballot papers.

    3. Remain in power forever.

Christ this makes Zimbabwe start to look good. Orwell was right all along. I'll get my coat, I'm leaving.

Edit: Did I say exams? Silly me I meant "internet assisted coursework".

Thanks moorfield. You're # 1, so why try harder.

The problem is, whereas you and I probably could understand the mechanism behind the second pref vote, there are many tens of thousands that do not.

My local election postal vote is confusing enough with dates, sigs, fold white paper into brown envelope, fold envelope B into A etc...

What would be interesting in this election is the number of spoilt votes as a proportion of total voters. Anything over 5% would be a pisspoor system of democracy...

Some cynics would even say that it was deliberately complicated to favour certain parties...
If you think my attitude stinks, you should smell my fingers.

          Cos they are thick.

There are instructions for f*** sake.

If you can't read them then you don't deserve to vote because this country has free education unlike some other countries.

I've even told people around me how to vote since I've had a postal vote and they chose not to listen.

Hmmmm or maybe a Richard and Judy style phone vote.

That way the scrotes can continue to rake in the cash long after the result is known.

The booklet I got explained the system and if I didn't understand it I'd feel obliged to remove myself from the gene pool.
