The school holidays have finished, so there shouldn;t be too many kids around.

Personally I'd fly to Nice, hire a car and stay in St Tropez for a few days. It won't be hot, but it will be sunny and the coast is fab. A day in Monte Carlo, lunch outside the Casino.....

Tenerife is chav-mongous. Never seen to many in one place, it's like Liverpool in the sun.

Why not take a property inspection trip to somewhere like southern italy? You may pick up a bargain as well as getting some out of the missus
