    Not looking good is it.

Never been between contracts for more than a few weeks before, apart from the time I had a year off.

If we're on the bench for a few months does it affect the client's impression of us? i.e. they must be crap if they've been looking for work for so long.
Feist - 1234. One camera, one take, no editing. Superb. How they did it

I rememeber the old board back in 2001-2003, more were on the bench than off. Made for some depressing threads.

Trying to remember any kiwi's who posted back then who were as angry as you, but only one who sticks out was OBL and even you aren't quite that thick.

One doesn't say that one has been fruitlessly looking for months and having marathon wanking sessions. One says that one has been training, progressing Plan B, or some other waffle that the big corporates find acceptable.

I'll be joining you in about a weeks time. My project is coming to a close. Just closing off some final bugs. putting together the documentation over next week. Then...its pretty-well done. The contract was only for 30 days and I on 20 at the moment.

Nothing on the horizon...back on the bench. I only just got off!

if it's been a while I just simply say that it was an ideal time for an extended holiday and so I went travelling
