    Gloomed!

Housing gloom 'worst in 30 years'

Confidence in the UK housing market fell in March to its lowest point in 30 years, according to a closely watched survey of property surveyors.

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors' (Rics) said that 78.5% more surveyors reported a fall than a rise in house prices in March.

This was the gloomiest reading since Rics began the survey in 1978.

The results come after leading mortgage lenders offered similarly downbeat views on property prices.

Rubbing my hands with glee at the thought of all those lovely cheap houses I'm going to buy (as long as it doesn't apply to the houses I already own of course).

    Ditto.

This time around I will need to invest in a much more heavy duty shredder to mince up the old auction catalogues once they are done with.

        b) Selling the big issue.
        c) A permie somewhere.

Not at all, I know other folks who have made lots of money but treat people with respect, this guy was a mini-Hitler, I guess that's what can happen when an Imbecile has a lot of money, also see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael...tery_winner%29

There is a difference between a chav lotto winner and someone who has made good investment decisions.

You are missing the point, it was his treatment of others. Also, I think he owner his flats on a low margin, i.e. he expanded very quickly within a few years of the boom, so I doubt he will be able to absorb the downturn.

Remind me of the point again You are hoping that someone who treats others poorly suffers during the downturn. Does that not apply to all knobs all the time and not just BTL landlords during a recession?

It's a thread about housing market downturn though so I thought it was topical to mention this particular person.
