Of course, I understand now. That's why there was such an imperative to make it bigger on the inside. And have double swing doors.

I not only moan and groan by proxy, but face people tête-à-tête about this religious fad that has, in an instant, bypassed the gullible's thinking process and instantaneously enslaved them in a fluffy-wuffy world of non-thinking.

I have experience in both systems and know they are playing on the weak-minded, those that do not think for themselves and those that are happy to have people absolve themselves from the responsibilities and harshness of life.

It's an American marketing system, obviously "successful" in the USA for the usual reasons due to culture and education, but now coming over here, hopefully with the sort of slowdown experienced with Amway. It's the same system being used now to cash in on religion.

Problem is, these people, like you, are so entrenched in this belief system that if faced with the cold truth that it's all nonsense, it would tear you, Chico, apart. Your belief in this ancient text is so solid that you simply are blind to anything else. You refuse to accept the findings of any other challenge. Why, Nicky Gumbel himself tells you to distance yourself from people that overtly challenge "our" way of the lord.

If something is so pure in truth, it would stand the tests of anything. But weak minded men are are so intent on control and power that they wouldn't dare to expose this mess of contradictions and absolute trite to those that have decided to think for themselves.

It makes me laugh to think that the Bible's very definition of the Devil is someone that decieves entire nations - the paradox that this is happening in front of your very noses in this manipulation of truth by man in the form of an insulting, marketed branded control and distortion of truth.

I'm happy in the way I lead my life. I understand the rules how a society must survive. I challenge everything.

What I don't like, is someone telling me what I should believe in and what I should do and what I should think without telling me why and how.

I believe in the fact that someone should actually reply in context to a statement posed in a thread rather than acting like a quasi-psychiatrist repeating the last word.

It's called a discussion and if you read what I said you would understand.

Surely this is not yet another example in the non-thinking, non-challenging conscious states of neo-christians is it?

Hey it's one up from Christ no? Just plain hill was good enough for him

Tell me what have waterfalls and video games got to with worshipping? Nothing
What have all those things to do with "entertainment"? Everything

So your considered avoidance of the original question is that waterfalls and video games are necessary?

House them on a hill if is warm, be in contact with "gods wonderful creation", or better your sugestion of aircraft hanger as no one likes getting wet, anything with 4 walls and a roof will do.

But no televangilists MUST have the biggest and best, not only got to keep up with Pastor X over there but beat him. Why? to attract more people than him...or if being honest (something these people never are) more money than him

Like £54 million pounds for a "church" or more apropriately named imo "entertainment venue"?

Think how much good that money could have done if turned to good and needy cause's (remember this is a country where whole familys end up living in their car because the breadwinner got made redundant two months ago...no state to catch them there) but have the worshippers do without their carpet, waterfalls, video games and the preacher without his limos, private planes, mansions and offshore bank accounts? NOOOOOOOOOO

Hell if not feeling charitible why not loads of smaller churchs across the country to "spread the word"....oh wait that does not work because these "religions" are about cult of the personality and little to do with god and a person can only be in one place at once.

In my "ranking" of religions the ones i have the least respect for are the televangilists and those who follow them, hell rank them lower than followers of Kabbalah and Scientology and have zero respect for them.

That is the funniest thing I have read today- NSW thank you. The things you and hyperd moan about - are not important. The important thing is the message - the message of Jesus Christ. He destroys the ideology of hate which seeks to destroy human life and hope. So instead of moaning and groaning about this and that go do an Alpha Course. The invitation to get to know Jesus is open to all - like any other invitation you can decide to accept it or not - the choice is yours.
