IM(worthless)O LR and General should probably be merged into "Chat". Anything else of interest to contracts can probably find a home in one of the three serious fora.
Thout sounds about right to me- I think all non contracting discussion should all go to a single 'off-topic' forum, with no post count for any of it.

This includes, all the 'boomed/doomed', house prices, lunch, squirrels, biscuits, 'what are you doing this weekend?', news stories copied and pasted from other sites and 'thicko' threads.

And anything else that doesn't belong in the serious forums.

Is CUK heading for a melt down ?

Things seemed to be OK before the counts in LR got removed. A bit of them & us, but with the occasional cross over.

If things carry on I reckon the mods will start taking tougher action.

What worries me if that any action is likely to be without warning, severe, and catch the wrong targets.

It would be nice to have some idea what, if anything, concerns mods/admin so those whose behaviour (in their view) is wrong can taking necessary action.

Why would that happen? Seems to me it caught the right targets last time.

In that case "General" would be small or non-existent.

I would imagine that the mods would move any thread they deemed inappropriate to the correct forum so they must accept that what is in "General" belongs there.
                      It's Deja-vu all over again!
