The most accurate answer doesn't appear in the poll, IMHO.

The level of drivel has probably remained constant. The level of visible drivel has increased, since the esteemed denizens of the Nerds Republic of TPD are posting more outside of LR.

That said, General (specifically) has been full of drivel posts for as long as I can remember - there's very little there that is actually of general interest to most contractors.
