    The level of drivel has probably remained constant. The level of visible drivel has increased, since the esteemed denizens of the Nerds Republic of TPD are posting more outside of LR.

    That said, General (specifically) has been full of drivel posts for as long as I can remember - there's very little there that is actually of general interest to most contractors.

      That's more like it.

      I think a lot of pointless polls have sprung up, and a few of the TPDers have been scaring some regulars into Technical, Accounting etc...

          I can see how that would work.

          The solution to this would be the 'negative post count' idea for LR - that proved so eminently popular when it was mentioned before.

            I'm not too sure we've had too many polls or not.

              Indeed, may I direct the honourable member to the following threads;

              http://forums.contractoruk.com/gener...ait-spend.html

              http://forums.contractoruk.com/gener...rd-almost.html

              http://forums.contractoruk.com/gener...izza-poll.html

              http://forums.contractoruk.com/gener...e-summary.html

              IM(worthless)O LR and General should probably be merged into "Chat". Anything else of interest to contracts can probably find a home in one of the three serious fora.

                I think the best idea was NickFitz's idea - show the number of posts that someone has made in that particular forum.

                  I agree - I suggested something similar last year.

                  Combine that with the idea above about post counts, and we're all onto a winner. Or something like that.....

                      I think the mods have a hard enough time as it is...
