The 32,000 drop is in the numbers of claimants of Jobseekers allowance. People fall off that figure after six months. All you have to do is stop people being able to claim it to start with and you’re sorted.

It’s another cunning plan like Caroline Flints response to finding out that a high proportion of long-term benefit claimants were in social housing: evict anyone without a job.

You’ve got to admire the bastards; they have spun the story that everyone without a job is some sort of lazy, junkie chav. With that as the public perception, they can get away with taking away the sickness benefit and put them on the lower jobseekers benefit. Then they rename it and upgrade it each year at a rate below inflation i.e. cuts in real terms. The Conservatives could never in their wildest dreams get away with this.
