I remember the days when there was none of this tamper-proof sealing on juice, milk or anything else, and nobody used to worry then. Perhaps it's indicative of a changing world.
I think you may have it a little out of proportion, but to be fair, I've never been drugged in the way you were.
I don't shop at Tesco for a variety of other reasons; this isn't encouraging me to start.
Well, the assistant looked at me as if I was crazy, but there have been instances in the past of drinks in supermarkets being laced with poison, so to abandon the use of safety tops makes me think that THEY are crazy!!
The jobsworth on the counter won't know what the current policy is.
They will be a tamper proof seal on the carton. Simply becuase you'll find it bloody hard to buy any kind of carton from suppliers these days that doesn't have a tamper proof seal on them.
They one you have could have had a failure. Send it to the manufacturer.
Well I expect all the cartons would be the same... like Socky said, you might have had a faulty carton, and doubt the unhelpdesk muppet would know otherwise.
I was once mugged by somebody dropping a drug into my drink in a bar and knocking me out for about 3 hours, so I have first hand experience of what can happen.

It sounds like it, and if so, I am less than impressed with Tesco 'Customer Services'. I will check the other cartons the next time that I am in the store.
