"Infidel" was a term used to represent non-christians. Muslims etc.
Then how come Muslims use it all the time to refer to non believers, Einstein?

        Learn your History.

What does the word "Infidel" actually mean?

First used in Middle English circa 1460 (adjective, noun), from the Middle French infidèle, and from Latin infidelis "unfaithful," later "unbelieving," In the 15c. meaning "a non-Christian" (especially a Saracen); later "one who does not believe in religion" (1526).Infidel has been used by Christians to name the people outside their religious group, the ones who do not have faith (fides in Latin).[2]

Right, having read a lot of books regarding the Crusades and such - Some in French I might add. You find that the Muslims were referred to as Infidels. They were deemed to be without "Faith" particularly in this case the Christian Faith.

I quoted Wikipedia because it was the easiest thing to do.

Answer this question, why would a Muslim use a word that has Latin origins? Surely they would have their own word that would have an Arabic origin.
