In response to Xen's sensible poll, i shall post a sensible reply.
TPD has developed into a bit of a culture and in all honestly, i think that is now unlikely to change. If TPD is deleted, that culture will continue in a different thread. Let's accept that and agree each to their own. Those that enjoy it, continue, those that don't have plenty of other places to post.
If there are performance issues then clearly something needs to be done. I'm not techy so I'm not sure of the options but if a large proportion of it can be frozen and archived so it doesn't hit performance then that sounds good to me.
