    Paris Restaurants

    Hi,

I'm taking my family to Paris for the weekend as it's my daughter's 21st birthday and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for restaurants in Paris? I'm looking for a really authentic bistro type place to go to on the Friday night and a brasserie for the Saturday. Places that are very French and not full of tourists would be preferred. We're staying relatively central, quite close to the Eiffel Tower.

    Cheers,

    Andrew

Try the "University Quarter" - loads of Bistro type places there.

Might I recommend a book "The Paupers Guide To Paris".

    Enjoy!

I went to this place 20 ago and it was great. Looks like it's become quite popular now but still gets good reviews:

I would definitely avoid a restaurant that had been recommended by 3 people on this forum. Milan's the clincher, don't touch with a barge pole
