Solution 1:
If you mange to find someone to replace you in the studio you are leaving behind , you lose nothing. But this has proven very hard ! Impossible.

Wouldn't bother going down this route, it's extremely unlikely to happen.

Solution 2:

I have seen hotels/bedsits advertised on the internet for about 33 pounds , but in reality I have never encountered one. 33 Pounds works out about 1000 pounds /month which is quite acceptable. If you will be losing up to 1500 in deposit/residue then going in a hotel can save you money. 40GBP + hotels seems too of a waste for long-term stay – months.

You'll find them if you look hard enough but I wouldn't stay in one long term, OK if you are having a night on the tiles and need somewhere to crash, but that's about it.

Solution 3:
There are some deserted villages ( like the one I am in ) where the Landlords are so desperate they will agree on a rolling contract* with 2 weeks leave notice. ( problem is most underwear models sign you off immediately )

Worth doing if you just want somewhere to live and I bet you can get an underwear model back there who won't mind (I'm sure they have women modelling size 20 undies somewhere....)

Solution 4:
My longterm/wannabe solution seems to be – getting 4 – 5 BTL studios at key places in the UK. ( close to all motorways ) . Rent them all out. When a contract comes up , give the closest tenant 1 month notice to get out. ( Yes I am that bad ). During the first month spend circa 2 K in a hotel.

Never going to happen. The only tenants you will get will be professional bad tenants. To make a BTL viable you need long term tenants that aren't a pain in the ass, that BTL mortgage has got to be paid somehow and if all your flats are empty how are you going to pay them?

Secondly what are you going to do if they refuse to move out? Have you ever tried to evict a squatter (walking in and hitting them will only get you locked up, the rights are stacked against you as al landlord)?

put your back seats down and pop a small mattress in your car. This way you can keep your car in the work car park so that you are literally 1 min away from work. No commute in the morning, you can always ask a permie to knock on your window on their way past so that you get a free wake up call and everybody will know that you have an A3 'Babe magnet' and you are sure to get thousands of women flinging themselves at you. You will also be guaranteed an extension by showing how loyal you are to the job by being on hand at every minute of the day and you will deffo get a big rate rise on extension.

I am native IT and it has been my profession for a deacade after being my hobby. I am not one of those switchers that were in Police or Army or gardening and did It for 3 years.
