Slightly off topic I know but is anyone else really pissed off at the decline in quality of Saturday night TV?

We have BBC and ITV showing any kind of reality/celebrity 'talent' contest.

C4 becomes the '100 greatest channel'

Beeb 2 show some arty crap I don't want to watch

    Channel 5 offers some titilation.

About the only thing worth watching is the news and Match of The Day, but even then we have to put up with the football genius that is 'Lawro'

Riiight, so I should defer to the superior credentials of a Kiwi author (Geoff.Rodliffe@clear.net.nz) writing a tribute page hosted on an Aussie university webpage.

Funny, the the same article appears to be hosted on quite a few NZ pages as well, go figure.

Oh, and BTW he's credited on that wiki page.

I was wrong...they are an important nation after all:

New Zealand referee William Atack was the world's first to use a whistle to stop a game of sport in 1884.

I don't like football, and Channel 5 stopped showing those soft porn films ages ago unfortunately.

And I can't stand soaps, so I've had it really.

And almost everything else on the tele is either dancing on fookin ice or a reality show...FFS
