That's a good point. So what would you do if it was proved irrefutably that God (and Jesus) existed?

Would you embrace the religion, go to Sunday school, church, observe lent, become a good christian, giving up on partying, the booze and gambling culture, stop doing the lottery, no living in sin, no greedy capitalist ventures, etc ?

Is it a case of proving God is not easy, therefore I won't ever have to observe the above, or do you genuinely want the proof before you commit to the new lifestyle?

We have had enough chances to listen to the messengers of God. What happens every time? That's right, they are murdered by the intellectuals. Does it not occur to you that those from above have to adapt to this specific part of Creation and incarnate in the human body as the Son Of God Did?.

The Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams says the adoption of Islamic Sharia law in the UK is "unavoidable".
Dr Williams told BBC Radio 4's World at One that the UK has to "face up to the fact" that some of its citizens do not relate to the British legal system.

The adoption of any Sharia in this country is sheer lunacy and is simply dictatorship thorugh the back door. If the Islamic community are so opposed to the laws of the land then they should seek change through the normal democratic channels open to all.

This is just an advancement on the smoking ban. Before that happened non smokers would still go into cafes and start flapping their hands in front of their faces, glaring at the ash trays and moaning about having to breath in a smoke filled room. When I once asked people why they didn't go to a coffee shop that didn't permit smoking, for which there were plenty, they just said that they liked the cafe but smoking should be banned.

Of course, this is exactly what has happened and I was always opposed to it because it imposed on a fundamental principle of not imposing one's own will against a perfectly legal activity.

This Sharia nonsence is a stage further, and its no good trying to persuade me that the impact will be limited and won't impose upon the wider community. It will...eventually... with possibly more devasating consequences. It's only a matter of time before all women won't be able to go to Sainsbury without a bedsheet over their heads.

Enough is enough.

If the Islamic community want to live by another set of laws, they should go to live in their own country where such laws are part of their national constitution and leave the rest of the British people alone.
