Police protect Nazir-Ali as he is warned that he will not live long if he criticises Islam
Leading political and religious leaders have condemned death threats against the Bishop of Rochester, Dr Michael Nazir-Ali, and his family.

Dr Nazir-Ali was warned that he would not "live long" and would be "sorted out" if he continued to criticise Islam, following his claim that parts of Britain had become "no-go" areas for non-Muslims.

Police have launched inquiries into the phone calls that were made to his home and have put him and his family under police protection with the use of an emergency line.

Surveillance cameras around the building have been improved. The bishop's mail is being screened by the Post Office as an added precaution.

How does this help if someone knocks on your door and stabs you when you open it? Snipers on the roofs - now that I understand is protection.

I must say the Telegraph is fast becoming the Daily Mail...

Muslim medical students are refusing to obey hygiene rules brought in to stop the spread of deadly superbugs, because they say it is against their religion.
Women training in several hospitals in England have raised objections to removing their arm coverings in theatre and to rolling up their sleeves when washing their hands, because it is regarded as immodest in Islam.

Universities and NHS trusts fear many more will refuse to co-operate with new Department of Health guidance, introduced this month, which stipulates that all doctors must be "bare below the elbow".

The measure is deemed necessary to stop the spread of infections such as MRSA and Clostridium difficile, which have killed hundreds.
Sheffield University also reported a case of a Muslim medic who refused to "scrub" as this left her forearms exposed.

Hate to say it, but you're right. As a tory I used to take the Telegraph exclusively. Now they're exactly like the Daily Mail. Opinion rather than facts, no evidence...
