Yeah The 10 Commandments ... great film with Charlton Heston... but based on a disjointed book
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

Just think if kids only watched films what their vision of history would be.

It would be biased depending on the country in which they lived.

Eg, America would have an American bias.

Let's not forget that other countries would be just as biased, if not even more so, eg, North Korea, China, Russia, etc.

It's not fair to bash the USA solely on this one, when there are other more deserving countries.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

            So... to summarise...
            • If you didn't have a good book you would never have had a good film.
            • Not all good books will become films ergo there may be some good books you are completely unaware of.
            • Not all good films will be faithful adaptations of a good book

            Thus

"Reading a book about "storyA" makes you clever, watching a film about "storyA" makes you stupid"

            Is proven
