No kids so don't need any space.
If we go away for the weekend I usually rent a decent Beemer.
Yet. What's this obsession for very small cars? If you have to use it daily in the city and park it in public space and be worried about fuel consumption for the many miles to spent in town then I understand, otherwise for just a couple of grand more (punto vs 500, focus vs fiesta and so on) you get bigger and better cars which will give you a better handling when going for weekend trips, would store more than just a couple of Tesco bags when going to the supermarket and will give more space for your guests. Unless you only follow the fashion and have no sense of practicality.
I've seen much of the rest of the world. It is brutal and cruel and dark, Rome is the light.

Why does it not surprise me SAS thinks the new fiat 500 is cool. It's like the original 500 built for metrosexual wheebles, I bet it even has a manbag holder
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

I have a new Fiesta - very similar to the old Focus.

The new style Focus was another £4K or so, hence could not justify the extra.

Can't help it if you're a carrot-munching provincial local yokel with no sense of style

          Where've you been BTW?

If it was up to me I wouldn't have a car at all. The missus is a bad driver and only like smallish cars so she can park them easily. So having a small car is very practical.
Jeez, sometimes I hanker after a proper car, but then she'd want to drive it and she's already totalled 2 so far. Which is amazing as she never gets above 25 mph .
PS I always get cars with at least a 4-star NCAP for what it's worth.

Aha, therein lies another alternative. Get the AA (or other organisation) to check out the runabout of your dreams. They find faults on the majority of cars inspected, but at least you'll have an idea of any potential costs involved and its road worthiness.

I have a Seat Ibiza FR. It's not bad, does well round town, you can drive up and down the motorway with no ill effects and it even handles speed bumps despite the firm suspension without dislocating your major joints.

Saying that, I am dead jealous of Money, Money, Money who has recently purchased a Nissan 350Z, and am aiming to get one myself before my girlracer juice runs out.

I am taking some time off between contracts, this site is great for wasting time at work but I'm not sad enough to post all day from home

To answer the 1st question, the missus always gets her way
Hmmm just replace the missus. Job done.
